Birth & Early Life: LP Maha Sila (full name Maha Sila Sirichanto) was born October 14, B.E. 2488 (1945) in Roi Et Province, Thailand. Ordination & Training: At age 15, he ordained as a novice monk at Wat That Prathap. Later in B.E. 2509 (1966), he was fully ordained at Wat Burapha Phiram, Roi Et, under Phra Siriwutthimethi.

He studied Buddhist scriptures and achieved high levels in Pali and Dhamma examinations (including Nak Tham Ek).

Spiritual Path & Solitude: After his monastic studies, he practiced meditation and wandered through forests in provinces such as Udon Thani, Nong Khai, and Chaiyaphum, seeking spiritual development and isolation.

In B.E. 2517, he crossed into Laos during a pilgrimage, engaging in practice in remote forested areas, learning from other revered monks of the Isan and Lao traditions.

Temple Leadership & Recognition: He became abbot at Wat Phra That Muen Hin in Kalasin Province, and later founded Thamma Utthayan Dhamma Park as his residency.
